Munchins' Fav - High School Musical - Bet On It

My munchkins are bananas for High School Musical right now. I recently rented 1 & 2 for them to watch. Apparently it comes up in discussion quite a bit amongst the youngsters and the boys hadn't seen it yet.

I watched them as well. Not my cup of tea, but one thing I am happy to see is that there seems to be some good ethical messages coming out of it. Anyway, my boys love music and have already memorized the words (and unfortunately Zac's moves) for this song as it is one of their favorites. It is a pretty catchy tune, but the dancing is pretty scary heh. The message is great though and sprouted a good discussion with my 9 year old.

jorgeohgt is hosting it on youtube.

Extreme Breakdancing

This guy is absolutely amazing! It hurts just to watch heh.

I always wonder whether folks like this with this kind of talent can use their skills to make money. I say call Cirque de Soleil!

Five For Fighting - World

MyBlackAmerica created a YouTube video to the Five For Fighting song World that I really love. Check it out...

John Ondrasik of FfF has also set up WhatKindOfWorldDoYouWant.com video community to help raise funds for certain charities. You just have to watch a video to help funds go to charity - how simple is that! If you can afford it, pledge funds as well.
Excerpt:
"We are all connected to one another through our actions. Each person has the ability to make a difference. This is one of the messages of the Five For Fighting video "World."
Tell the world what kind of world you want and raise money for charity by making and uploading a video of yourself, your friends or your family--whomever and whatever--answering the question, "What Kind Of World Do You Want?"
Or, you can raise money for charities that John Ondrasik of Five For Fighting has personally selected. Watch any clip on this site and money will go to the charity listed with that video. Please see below for the updated list of charities and contributions per views."

The site has donated $173K to date.

Munchkins' Fav - AFI 12/21 with Miss Murder

So I have two young sons - one is 8 and the other just turned 7. I listen to lots of music at home and so just like food variety, my kids listen to lots of different types of music. I've also recently introduced them to YouTube so they can see some video while listening to certain songs. Sometimes the actual music video isn't appropriate but someone has set it to "The Lion King" or some other video clips. Other times, the modified video is better than the music video! Anyway, I'll be posting some of their favs on this blog.

AFI's Prelude 12/21 with Miss Murder
Caught this song while catching up on season 6 of Smallville. Love it and my boys do too.
NSatiableSin has the director's cut posted on YouTube.
