Giving MicroLoans to Entrepreneurs in Developing Countries

DiaLogic has posted about an organization called Kiva that enables person-to-person microloans around the globe.

As I posted in his comments, I had wondered when this would come around when I first heard about microloans a few years back. I think they're a great idea btw.

The key with this Kiva system is they evaluate the entrepreneurs business proposals through field visits to minimize lenders' risk. From what I've read out on their site and some of the lenders and borrowers information, it looks like a great system.

Do you think people get their money back or are these loans really gifts?

Anon - from what I read on their site, you will get your money back or you can opt to gift it.
